The Heart Of Laura & Dominic’s Wedding Ceremony:

The Way That Their Connection Brings People Together

When the first members of Laura & Dominic’s wedding processional walked down the aisle, the entire audience clapped and cheered, some even getting out of their seats for a spontaneous standing ovation. It was if the first players of a football game had just emerged from the tunnel. And that was just for Dominic and his parents! The guests then proceeded to cheer and clap for every single member of the processional, culminating in a huge uproar when Laura and her father made their way down the aisle.

Laura & Dominic love to tailgate at Buffs and Broncos games. But it’s not just about the football. It’s about the quality time that they spend with friends and family at games, concerts, dinner outings and even karaoke, and the cherished memories that they create along the way.

This love for community and people and the art of simply having a good time was undeniably evident at their wedding ceremony. At processionals, I usually see so much joy and love on the guests’ faces, but it’s rare that they actually clap, stand, cheer and get a little rowdy lol.

Let’s Get It Started

The Denver Botanic Gardens has several wedding spots, and the Annuals Garden & Pavilion is a beautiful location for a ceremony.

Here are some sweet pics of the spot, then some pics of that spontaneously rowdy and fun processional with all the clapping and standing ovations!

Ceremony Highlights

We started with a welcome to let each guest know how important they are, and that they’re a huge part of what fills the ceremony with love and meaning.

I also couldn’t help but congratulate this group on their cheering skills ;)

Next some highlights from their ceremony. We did a reading from Carl Sagan the astrophysicist about science and molecules and marriage and love.

I got to share about an escapade where Laura & Dominic went to a Fleetwood Mac concert (with Laura dressed like Stevie Nicks of course), had a playful argument about the correct lyrics in a line from “Go Your Own Way” (I got to sing each version lol), then listened and danced to songs back in their kitchen with their mischievous sidekick Skinny Bill The Cat (yes, that’s really his name).

It all spoke to the ease of connection between these two, and the fact that they simply have so much fun when they’re together, whatever it is that they’re doing.

Laura had a Man Of Honor, which was also fun. He did the traditional job of holding the bride’s bouquet.

These two had a cool mix of choices for vows. They each wrote their own meaningful words to each other using my Vow Adventure Kit, then shared those words during the ceremony, plus also did repeat-after-me vows for their promises.

The sense of humor between Laura & Dominic is pretty great and it really came out during their vows.

The ring exchange was the sweetest, and then of course a big walk down the aisle to more cheers and ovations. Congratulations Laura & Dominic, you did it!
