Do you perform ceremonies for same-sex couples?

Yes, happily!

How far in advance do we need to book with you?

You can book anywhere from a month or two in advance all the way up to a year or more. Keep in mind that my schedule fills up, so contacting me sooner than later is always a safer bet. The best thing to do is to use the contact form at the bottom of this page to see if your date is available on my schedule. Regarding last-minute ceremonies or elopements, they can sometimes be booked as late as the same day if our schedules happen to match up.

This photo shows my stole with gold lotuses, which is mentioned at left. I can wear it for a more traditional "ministerial" look, or I can come without it - whichever fits your style best.

What do you, the officiant, wear?

My goal is to match the style of your wedding. I can wear anything in the wide spectrum from fancy formal clothes all the way to more casual attire. My various outfits are black or muted colors so that I look professional but don't draw attention away from the two of you. If you want it, I can also include a "stole" - that's the long scarf-like item that is part of the classic "minister" look.  Mine has gold lotuses on it for a non-denominational feel. The only thing that I don't own is a robe - that's never really fit my own style. But everything else I'm fine with! When we have our pre-wedding meeting, I'll check in with you about what feels right.

Do we need witnesses?

For my couples who are getting married in Colorado, there are no witness signatures required.

Is there a charge for travel?

If my travel to get to you is no more than one hour from Boulder, Colorado, then there is no travel charge. If you are farther than that, then there is an additional charge to cover my gas and time.

How do I pay?

When we decide to work together, I will send you a link to your very own portal made specifically for you to make your payments online and sign our contract to work together, plus this is also where you'll download the prep documents for our ceremony-creation process. The portal accepts any credit credit and also ACH transfer.

Is there a deposit?

Yes, a non-refundable reservation fee based on the fee for your ceremony. Once you've paid your reservation fee, your date is officially saved on my calendar and we'll meet to start personalizing your ceremony. The balance of your wedding fee is due three months prior to your wedding day.

What is your refund/cancellation policy?

All fees are non-refundable upon payment. However, all fees are transferrable to a different date as long as I am available on that date. If it is more than three months prior to your wedding, the reservation fee is non-refundable (but transferrable) and the remaining balance is non-refundable (but transferrable) if already paid, or waived if you have not yet paid it. In the unlikely event that I am unable to perform your event due to illness or an emergency, I will refund the fees listed in your contract and assist you as much as possible in finding another officiant.

Do you arrange for other services like photographers, flowers, music, etc?

For venue weddings: I have a list of my favorite folks to recommend - these are fellow professionals whose work I am a huge fan of and who are great to work with.

For elopement packages: I’m partnered with a fabulous photography company, so photography is included in the packages, plus we provide a list of amazing vendors for hair/makeup, flowers, cake, lodging, dining etc. and you book those directly yourself.

To chat about your ceremony and see if we're a fit, or if you have additional questions that weren't answered above, you can contact me at 303-842-4321 or fill out the form below to send a message. Thanks and I look forward to getting to know you!
