Hi, I’m Lisa Hunter - wedding officiant, elopement expert and mountain girl at heart. Over the years, I’ve taken hundreds of couples to beautiful outdoor vistas for a soul-filled ceremony and I’m partnered with an amazing photography company to take your photos too.

This is quintessential Colorado - stunning views of Rocky Mountain peaks with Ponderosa Pines all around us, granite beneath our feet and big blue sky overhead.

Maybe you’re eloping to ditch the big wedding blues, maybe you’ve always dreamed of an intimate wedding in nature or maybe you’re crystal clear that you want your day to be focused on the two of you, not on everyone else. I’ll Show You My Favorite Mountain Spots

Over the years, I have come to know the most gorgeous and accessible elopement locations in Colorado. I’ll get to know you, then recommend a location that will be a perfect fit for your elopement. We’ll meet for your day at one of these spots in Boulder, or head up to Rocky Mountain National Park for a lake or trail ridge view. There is also Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, Sapphire Point in Breckenridge, countless vistas near Estes Park, and many more hidden gems.

Terrain, Weather & Start Time

Locations range from easy, flat access to invigorating hikes. I recommend that you elope on a weekday if you can (less crowded, more private). The best time for stable weather in Colorado is mid-June through mid-September, although you can do your elopement package any time of the year. For photography, sunrise or sunset lighting is best, so a morning or evening start is ideal.

By the time you arrive in Colorado, we’ll feel like old friends. You can lean in and relax for “I Do’s”, Vows, Rings and all the personal elements that I’ve tailored for you, and myself or a member of my officiant team will facilitate the ceremony. At the end of your ceremony, you will truly feel you have crossed a threshold. And no worries about the marriage license - it’s simple when you elope. We’ve got you covered and will show you how that works too!

While I am in charge of your ceremony, I am also partnered with an incredible photography company. Each photographer has been shooting for years, and has the exquisite ability to capture the epic vista shots of a Colorado elopement, while also the sweetness and depth of your connection. The artistry, emotion and beauty in their work never ceases to amaze me.

Not only are the photographers exceptional artists, they are so fun to work with. A great photographer brings your natural personality forward without feeling like you’re trying. No forced or awkward poses here! You’ll feel at ease to be yourselves, and to enjoy. The result is a photography gallery of magic that you will cherish for the rest of your lives.

Gallery, Prints & Sneak Peeks

The photography in your package will include a gallery of high resolution digital images for you to download to your heart’s content. In addition to meeting with me, you’ll also have a photo consult with the photography company owner who I’m partnered with. During that meeting, you’ll decide on the amount of photo coverage that is just right for you. You won’t be able to contain your excitement to see your images (and neither will we), so they’ll send a few favorite sneak peeks soon after your elopement to tide you over until your gallery is ready.

A wedding, even one as simple as an elopement, is a major life passage. The stage between engagement and marriage happens only once in your relationship, and it is the coolest time to learn and grow as a couple. In fact, it’s what you do in the months before your wedding that makes the day itself so profound. A key part of that process is picking or writing your vows.

The Vow Adventure Kit

My signature vow-writing kit comes with your wedding package and guides you through a meaningful vow experience as you prep for your day. It will facilitate aha’s about the life you are building together and what is important to you. There are vow examples to pick from, plus a template to get started if you want to write your own.

Sweet Date Night

Best of all, you get to go on a date night if you want! Just do the date night activity provided, and you’ll have deeply meaningful vows that express your feelings and act as a set of north star guiding principles for your marriage to come.

I have an amazing list of Colorado wedding vendors whom my couples have five-star loved. They are all fun, laid-back and great at what they do. No boring, stuffy people involved when you’re having a Colorado adventure elopement on a mountain top!

Additional Services

With your core elopement package in place, you may want some additional services too. A basic combo of flowers plus bridal hair & makeup is common for a small wedding, but you can do what you like. If you want video, the photography company with whom I’m partnered does exquisite wedding films. And if you’d like cake or catering for an intimate dinner after the wedding, we’ll get you connected.

Colorado is home to some of the coolest lodges, cabins, hotels and Air BnB’s in the west. We also have a host of breweries, restaurants and fine dining for celebrating. When you elope, you have versatility in the experience that you create. I’ll give you all the local intel so you can pick the best spots to fit your style.

I’m not a wedding planner, officiating is my expertise, AND at the same time I know how elopements work inside and out from years of first-hand experience and hundreds and hundreds of couples who have enjoyed our packages. This means that I’ll guide you with all the intel that you need to make it happen. I’ve got answers to every question and so does the photography company that I’m partnered with.

I’ll make a customized elopement planning timeline and day-of timeline to keep you on track, plus a wonderful set of prep documents to get ready for your day. You’ll find all of this in your own online elopement portal where you can keep track of the magic as it unfolds.

Advice & Support

We can also help you to think about how to elope: like how to transport your wedding dress, tips & tricks to pack for Colorado weather and how/when to tell your friends and family about your elopement. We have answers for all the little things you could try to figure out on your own, but it’s even better coming from those of us who have been thinking for years about these things ;)
