The Soul Of Olivia & Chris’ Wedding Ceremony:

The Kind Of Love That Forms Something New

When you meet Olivia & Chris in person, there is something about them that is so genuine. I find all of my couples to be genuine, but something about Olivia & Chris’ connection that particularly evokes this feeling.

During one of our meetings, their wedding passage journey brought us to reflect on a moment when they were floating amidst luminescent micro organisms in the Jamaican ocean. Immersed in an otherworldly ethereal glow, they knew they were living life to its fullest in that moment in time.

Their ceremony reflects this shared passion for living a live fully lived.

Let’s first meet the couple as they get ready for their ceremony!

Setting The Scene

Olivia and Chris planned their ceremony smack dab in the middle of a stand of aspens in the heart of Golden Gate State Park with a cool old red barn nearby for their reception.

Their dogs Leroi and Rosalita were ring bearer and flower girl :)

Ceremony Highlights

Chris’ father shared a blessing and words of wisdom that he wrote for Olivia and Chris himself.

I got to share the story of Olivia and Chris’ bioluminescent adventure in the ocean in Jamaica. Picture them floating in water that is lit with an ethereal blue-white glow, and with each touch of a hand to water, it lights up even more. Indescribable with words, really.

In science, quantum entanglement is a phenomenon where photons become inextricably interlinked to form something new. Olivia and Chris’ connection is like this. It inspires them to do wild things like float in a neon ocean and live life with abandon.

There’s nothing more appropriate to symbolize quantum entanglement in a wedding ceremony than to do a hand fasting. We used six ribbons, each representing a quality that is important to Olivia and Chris in their marriage:

Presence. Compassion. Curiosity. Humor. Trust. Love.

While hand fasted, they read vows written from scratch using my Vow Adventure Kit.
